Accura Engineering are proud to announce that we have purchased a DMG Mori DMF 360-11, arriving in Autumn 2024. This industry-leading machine combines 5-axis machining with a 3.6m long bed and outstanding precision. This will provide our customers with the latest machining capabilities for their most challenging projects.
Key features:
- Full simultaneous 5-axis machining
- 3.6m X-axis
- Integrated 1050mm rotary table
- Tool magazine with 60 tools
- 20,000rpm spindle
- Maximum precision with an optimised thermosymmetrical travelling column
The machine will be based in our Willenhall facility, co-located with our two other 4m milling machines to create a large milling cell, capable of handling a wide range of parts for the aerospace, defence, energy, industrial and motorsport industries.
Sophie Hallett-Jones, Accura’s Managing Director, said “The DMF is critical to our future plans as we look to provide our customers with access to unique capability and expertise. We have seen strong growth in the large milling market over the last two years, with very few sub-contract engineering businesses able to match the level of quality and precision that Accura can deliver on large parts; the DMF will take our service offering to the next level and give us even greater capability in this area.”
DMG Mori Open House, Pfronten
The purchase was made at the DMG Mori Open House in Pfronten, Germany, where seven members of the Accura team saw the latest developments in manufacturing technology and automation, with 50 machines and 20 automation solutions on show. As well as the DMF, we saw our new CMX 50U with pallet changer that arrives in Spring 2024 to enhance our Aerospace machining facility.
Craig Wright, Accura’s Chairman and CEO, said “We are pleased to partner with DMG Mori as a strategic equipment provider for Accura’s growth. It was clear from the impressive developments that we saw at the Open House that their technology will support our business roadmap for the future”.
